Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry fear self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust. Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing child-like appetite of what’s next, and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage, power from men and the infinite, so lon...

IF THEY GHOST YOU, DONT CONFRONT THEM. PERIOD!

I know it sucks when your crush rejects you (be it upfront or with time). I know many of us still try hard to get our crushes to like us back, even after getting rejected. I know it sucks when they refuse to remain in contact after rejecting you. I know it sucks when the people we develop/developed feelings for, end up ghosting us.When dealing with romantic rejection more generally I think it’s helpful to think of it like this: You missed out on someone who doesn’t care about you. They missed out on someone who loves them. Who should be upset here, really?Bruh don't waste your time on people like this. Move on ( I know its hard) and get busy. I know you can do more because you deserve better! Comments: 1.Learning to accept rejection is the best thing one can do in life. 2.Ghosting is worse than just rejection for a lot of people. It’s a rejection but it is one without a real sense of closure. Closure is the start of healing. That’s why so many people loathe and complain about being...

If she likes you she WILL make time

Hi all,Just a rant and maybe some advice? Personally I n the past I have fallen into the cycle of trying to get a girl to hang out and meet. Being considerate of her schedule and not coming off pushy. But frankly there are some people (I’ll talk about girls since that’s what I know) who don’t care about your time. They will make these tentative plans that are never solidified. There’s never any time or specific day. It can be emotionally jerking especially if you like someone. No she’s not just really busy, she doesn’t like you. I only know because I’ve found out the hard way like many others. HOWEVER I had to remember this did not mean I was unattractive or not worth the time of day. People are immature and don’t know how to be upfront or never engage with you at all if they weren’t at least serious about hanging out. Some people only keep you around for the attention you give them. SPOT THIS FLAG AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. You will save a lot of hurt feelings. Anyway upon talking to thi...

Always listen to your gut feeling.

No matter how long you date in a relationship, a year,a month or even a week and u have a bad feeling about it, listen to it. Our body reaction is always faster than our mind. It really save you out from a toxic relationship. Trust your gut feeling. Make sure your "gut" hasn't been influenced by the talk of those around you. Sometimes, we allow our ear to get poisoned by outside chatter. Then, we start focusing on trivial negatives. Never measure your relationship by the opinions of those who aren't in it.Make sure that your gut feeling is YOUR gut feeling.

In relationships, if it doesn't feel right to you, it probably isn't

If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't right. If someone makes you feel like you're always crazy, it's always your fault, leave. If someone doesn't respect your boundaries, they don't respect you. It's very important for you to feel physically and mentally safe in a relationship. Sometimes it isn't as direct, they could be trying to brainwash you. They'd be toxic towards you but not in an aggressive way. Someone could tell you you're crazy in a sweet tone, they'd treat you like a child and never take anything you say seriously and this can be dangerous because if you don't understand what's going on, you could end up believing them. Likewise if someone is always being crazy and never taking responsibility for what they're doing, or making you responsible for their unstable emotional state, leave. lt's often a good idea to dissolve toxic relationships.

It's not hard to recognize when someone is no longer for you. It's just hard to accept it.

You have to love yourslef enough to not tolerate disrespect, disloyalty, and wishy washy feelings. If aperson doesn't value you, move on. This is definitely an issue younger people fall into as well. They love the idea of having someone so they continue it despite it not being healthy. But yeah it is so important to make sure you know that people should value you, even if you aren't in a place in life where you can value yourself. People need to remember they don't deserve the disrespect they are allowing their partners to give them. Can confirm, am young, have felt that way a few times. lt's very important to not get blinded by your attraction to someone. A few times I wasn't even in love, just in love with the idea of being in love. You always have to make sure that you are being valued by the other person as much as you value them .
